Across the Universe

feather in the sand
August 17, 2013. Walking the sand spit/sand bar from Montana de Oro to Morro Rock (and back). Low tide. At one point a tide line was so thick with sand dollar and other bits of shell that it reminded me of the milky way and the rest of the beach was the universe. Infinite.

Crab shell and two sand dollars

sand dollar that blends in with the sand

Many sand dollars of all sizes strewn about

Same shot as before but from a higher vantage point and including my feet

tide line where shells have been pushed up the beach

Brown wet sand almost white with broken shells

tide line again with a person wal;king way off in the distance

uncountable broken shells

And the sand is white with broken shells

one white sand dollar with purple markings on the dark sand
