November Bike Happening

bike happening was so much fun last night. over 150 people showed up. it was the most fun yet! afterwards a few of us rode bikes across town to the climbing gym to see a slideandmusic show of the English family's *5* year trek across england, saudi, yemen, india, and china on their bikes. amazing!!! it was so good.

but to get there we had to trek across town, like i said. and that meant going over the railroad tracks. a few years ago we had a pedestrian and bike bridge erected over the tracks -- it's kinda cool. probably more fun to go over the tracks, but this is still cool. so all of us stopped at the middle of the jennifer street bridge.

someone was pulling a pony keg of dark beer (locally made) and we passed out cups and toasted to a beautiful ride, the english family, and friends, right there in the middle of the bridge. we were there for thirty minutes.

then we were off to the climbing gym. the presentation was AWESOME!

can you imagine riding your bike for 5 years across the continents like that?! sleeping in tents and once in a great while getting a room. meeting the children. covering up completely while in yemen and other areas. the pics are truly amazing. and show what you can do when you decide.

while on the trip they got married. there was no millie in those days (millie is their 7yo who i am very attached to).

anyway-- lots of fun.

and today they leave. :(
