okay, it has become obvious that the limits of email communication, combined with the limits of some personalities on list have made it difficult for all the nuances of human interaction to be readily interpreted on the list.

therefore, this proposed list of dw tags is submitted for your consideration:

<att> </att>
this is tag should be used for general attacks in demeaning the ideas or comments in a post, without directly attacking the individual. this may also be used for insitutions, governments, or belief systems.

<att=*> </att=*>
where * is the name of the person being attacked this can be used to specifically attack an individual and to completely ridicule their poorly thought out post, lame idea, or refusal to use a spell checker or other editing techniques.

<obsc> </obsc>
this signifies and obscentiy laden post. use of the delete key for sensitive types is recommened.

<rant> </rant>
already in use by some in dw. this tag should be used when going on and on about something only you or those in your clique care anything about, or you are complaining yet again about something even macker with his sub 70 iq could work. note: attacks and obscenties may or may not appear in rants, but if you are attacking and swearing, you're ranting. so the proper use would be:

<rant><att><obsc>
your delusion here.
</rant></att></obsc>

<sarc></sarc> - sarcasm tag <irn></irn> - irony tag

<sml> </sml>
the smiley tag. comments inserted between this tag should be construed to be humorous, at least by the sender anyways and should be taken in this vien or with a grain of salt.

<revl> </revl>
personal revelation tag. <sarc> this tag can be used when the sender thinks they are telling us something revealing about themselves, when we know they left the really good shit out, or when they are fishing for a cheap group cyber-hug.</sarc>

<vitr> </vitr>
used for posted that are particularly vitrolic but do not necessarily constitute an attack. can be used with obscenity, sarcasm and rant tags. this tag will normally be used in conjuction with the <timo> </timo> tag. the tag should also be used for acerbic, sardonic, and bitter posts.

these are some general use tags. more specific tags follow:

<mar> </mar>
the marya tag is used when over-reacting to anything, but mostly likely something macker or marcus said. can also be used when directing a jibe, particularly toward nonie, but the <att> tag is not appropriate.

<gina> </gina>
gina tag can be used in place of the <obsc> tag, particularly if no one knows what the hell your pissed about. can also be used for schlong posts.

<cars> </cars>
the carsten tag is for making sweeping generalizations, deliberately bastardizing the meaning of spoken words or talking about work (up to but not including rants).

<liv> </liv>
used when padding posts with lots of facts, obscure details, and non-pertinent research to support your point of view or clog the list because you ran out of coffee and macker is really getting under your shorts.

<nig> </nigel>
the primary purpose of this tage in when your post contains all kinds of unimportant information about how they do things in a different country, or when you have recently killed someone's gold fish or other pet. also covers posts about or written while wearing orange socks and drinking a lot.

<der> </der>
this tag is designed for discussing music nobody listened to when it first came out, or for discussing musical interests generally.

<lurk> </lurk>
there is no reason to use this tag.

<ikat> </ikat>
covers skating, cool cars, defending people who frequently use the <att> tag and for posts complaining about nonie.

<non> </non>
this tage is for taking things out of context, disguising <att> messages as <sml> messages or generally being confused. can also be used to cover domes, the problems associated with hanging photographs in round houses and cheese.

<pat> </pat>
the patootie tag is for topics regarding trendy hip chicks, the problems associated with being a trendy hip chick, stupid frat boys, cigarette burns to various body parts, stereo advice, and drinking a lot.

<spg> </spg>
the spring tag denotes alternative lifestyles, drew barrymore posts, safe sex and soda pop. This is not to be confused with the <spgr></sprgr> tag which addresses the jerry springer show or any other talk show, excluding oprah.

<kate> </kate>
to be used while talking about what you saw on oprah.

<nap> </nap>
can be used interchangeably with the <spg> tage except when addressing highly technical information or taking the occasional pot shot. should be used in conjuction with the <irn> tag.

<beth> </beth>
topics covered by this tag include pregancy, baby shit, baby vomit, snot suckers, the appropriate use of the <sml> tag, and <sml> sticks up the butt. </sml>

<timo> </timo>
timothy tags can be used instead of the <att> <obs> <rnt> and <sarc> tags. CAUTION: attempting to use the <timo> tag in conjunction with <irn> or <sm> tag will cause your computer to lock up and drag in old sedans to cruise past your house repeatedly. also can be used when over-reacting (see <mar> tag), taking things out of context (see <non> tag), discussions of psychosis, misuse of diet products, complaining about carsten and nonie, or cloned sheep.

<sieg> </sieg>
this tag cannot be used with the </irn> tag. use this for excruciatingly long travelouges, shameless self promotion, whenever your are starting a website about yourself or discussing the lunches you have with people more interesting than you are, tips on refrigerating cats, swedish women with funny names or talking about how much money you make. the <piet> tag can be used for discussion of how much money you make, particularly when the post does not contain <irn> tags.

i hope we can use these tags to help to help all of us be much more efficient communicators and to make sure we all understand what we are saying whenever we say it.

t <timo> (who sure as shit knows what we are doing now is broke dick like a motherfucker) </timo>
