Why? Because our society says that he is not mature enough to handle these responsibilites. Our society says that he cannot make the right decisions to handle these things. He is still a kid. Not ready.

And yet we'll try him as an adult in a court of law.

Someone, please, explain to me how this makes sense. Because it doesn't make any sense to me.
