the joy of driving is back in my blood. heh. last night, driving out to my mom's it was just specfuckingtacular. it has been really stormy here -- flooding even. but last night it was dark and stormy and light and sunsetty all at the same time. my mom lives off of an estuary -- a delta actually, where two little trickles of creeks finger out into the back bay that filters out to the pacific. a sandspit separates the bay from the ocean (think bodega bay in the birds). the delta is a combination of mudflats and meandering streamies and snowy white egrets and sandpipers. so last night i see all of this at once and all i can think is, god i wish was catherine jamieson so i could bottle this up in a jpg. instead i found some pictures online.
